“I love learning about my culture and fellowshipping friends and family!” said 12 year-old George. Kwanzaa is an annual seven-day cultural celebration, beginning each year on December 26. It was developed by Dr. Maulana Karenga and first observed in 1966. It honors the heritage of African-Americans and others of the African Diaspora. Kwanzaa celebrations emphasize the role of family and community in African-American culture by embracing seven principles called the Nguzo Saba: Unity, Self-determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Creativity, Purpose, and Faith.

The Greensboro Four!!! Experience the Story
Historical Fiction Novel “Four The Culture” Depicting Greensboro Sit-ins From a Young Perspective Released on several platforms!
NC A new historical fiction novel Four The Culture written by North Carolina native Dadriene Davis is centered around Ezell Blair, one of the remaining members of the Greensboro Four, and has been released on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Booklocker.
This book details the story of the four students at NC A&T that staged a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter on February 1st, 1960 and reignited the civil rights movement! Two years ago, Dr. Blair gave Dadriene Davis his blessing to bring the story to life.
Davis is thrilled that everyone will learn all that led to this pivotal moment in American history in a way it has never been presented before! Ezell is your typical energetic teenaged boy trying to discover who he is outside of the template created by his family.
Most parents believe that anything can be achieved through hard work, but Ezell and his friends realize that it will take more than passing grades to be successful with several laws set in place to keep them from reaching their goals!
Read all about it in Four The Culture — A Movement Awakened.
