I started a war and I landed on my own swordWish I could take those stupid things I saidHow could I be so foolishI called out to God but the devil keeps answeringI'm trying every little remedy I canBut this is all just bullshit When everybody says, time will clean up this messBut only you, only you....Only you can make it better put me back togetherCome on baby let's be realOnly you, only you....Only you could stop the bleeding, give me what i'm needingTell me so my heart can heal....only you I'm dressing my wounds but blood it keeps soaking throughI cut just a little bit too deepAnd I feel so dizzyI pick up my phone and throw it against the wallAnd I cry like a baby in my sleepWithout you, with me [ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/only-you-lyrics-cee-lo-green.html ]When everybody says, time will clean up this messBut only you, only you....Only you can make it betterPut me back togetherCome on baby let's be realOnly you, only you....Only you could stop the bleeding, give me what i'm needingTell me so my heart can heal.... Only you can make me smile in the pouring rainAnd you can take the hurt right out of my painI know I can try to fill the space insideWith somebody else but there's no use But only you, only you....Only you can make it betterPut me back togetherCome on baby let's be realOnly you, only you....Only you could stop the bleeding, give me what i'm needingTell me so my heart can heal....Only you
Cee Lo Green was born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway on May 30, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated high school fromRiverside Military Academy, a boarding school for boys in Gainesville, Georgia. Both of his parents were ordained ministers and he started his music career in his church. His father died in 1976 when he was two years old. His mother, Sheila J. Tyler-Callaway, was also a volunteer firefighter.[3][4] She was involved in a car crash in 1990, leaving her paralyzed, and died two years after the accident. At the time, Cee Lo's career with Goodie Mob had just begun taking off. His mother's death in 1992 led Cee Lo into depression, as is reflected in various songs throughout his career, including "Free" by Goodie Mob, songs on St. Elsewhere, and on The Odd Couple ("She Knows", "A Little Better").[5][6] Cee Lo also expresses his love for his mother in the song "Guess Who" from Goodie Mob's Soul Food album. In an excerpt of "Cee Lo Distilled", a mini documentary produced by Absolut and The Fader released on YouTube, Cee Lo explained that his mother's death was a defining moment to "crossing that threshold over into a career".
