A Nigerian company introduces Africa's answer to the iPad, the Inye. CNN's Nikepile Mabuse reports.
Saheed Adepoju, 28, is co-founder and chief visionary of the Encipher Group, a Nigerian-based technology company that has produced the country’s first tablet computer, ‘Inye’. The word Inye is derived from Nigeria’s Igala language and means ‘Number 1’. Earlier today the Bournemouth University Advanced Computing graduate briefly let me in on his start-up story and spoke about his ambitions for his company.
Encipher Inye The Encipher Inye is a tablet PC developed by The Encipher Group. It was announced on 8 May 2010 and released in Nigeria that same year. It is powered by an Telechips Tcc8902 ARM 11 800Mhz processor and runs on Android version 2.1 aka Eclair.

The name "Inye" means 'The One' in Igala, a language in Nigeria.
