Dark Tide is an American action thriller film directed by John Stockwell, produced by Jeanette Buerling and Matthew E. Chausse and written by Ronnie Christensen and Amy Sorlie. The film is based on a story by Amy Sorlie, and will star Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez and Ralph Brown. Kate Mathieson, once renowned for swimming with Great White Sharks, spends her days giving mundane wildlife tours after the tragic death of her mentor. The surprise arrival of her old partner and boyfriend, Jeff (Olivier Martinez), convinces her to face her inner demons and get back in the water with the fiercest of predators. Production began in July 2010 in False Bay, Cape Town, South Africa, and shot for six weeks on a small boat with real Great White Sharks. The production then moved to the UK for three weeks filming inPinewood Studios on the underwater stage. The soundtrack is written and performed by Mark Sayfritz.
